Baby or Tumbling Blocks by Kaye Wood

To strip cut Baby Blocks, also known as Tumbling Blocks, and 6-pointed stars are made from diamonds. You need the Starmaker® 6 Master Template and a ruler. The height of the diamond equals the width of the strip needed. Cut a strip of fabric this width. Place the bottom of the Starmaker® 6 along the bottom of the strip. Cut along the angle. Find a line on the ruler equal to the width of the strip (height of the diamond). E.g. if the height of the diamond is 3", use a line on the ruler 3" from the edge. Place this line on the ruler along the cut edge of the strip. Butt the Starmaker 6® next to the ruler. Keep the bottom of the Starmaker® 6 even with bottom of the strip - use the Starmaker® 6 for accurate angles and the ruler for distance. |
