Today we are joined by Ami Simms. She talks about The YoYo Sisterhood of the Traveling Panties in which she offers to dye your underpants along with hers for a small fee. On her blog she regales us with those stories! http://amisimms.wordpress.com/2009/02/23/yo-yo-sisterhood-of-the-traveling-panties/
She’s put together a You-Tube video of the panties here
Ami’s pet project, the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative
is still going strong. 9×12″ quilts are made and sent to Ami. She auctions them off or sells them outright to fund Alzheimer’s research. The traveling exhibit entitled “Alzheimer’s: Forgetting Piece by Piece” will be retired at the end of 2010 when she will have another exhibit ready, The Purple Patch Project. You can learn more about The Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative and the Purple Patch Project by going here: http://alzquilts.org/
