Silhouettes of Southeast Alaska Wallhanging Pattern by Quilts With a Twist
Scherenschnitte, or German paper cuts, is the inspiration for the Silhouettes of Southeast Alaska.
There are geometric symbols for Northwest coastal native basketry patterns in each of the Silhouettes: tidelands in the top image, Orca teeth in the second, and footprints of the brown bear in the bottom image.
The wall hanging (25” x 41” ) is made using fusible techniques.
The pattern includes Lisa’s tips on fusible appliqué.
