Opal's Yoyo Pillow Pattern by Homestead Specialties

My mother was 19 years old when she finished her Yo-yo Pillow on Aunt Anna's treadle sewing machine and tucked it into her hope chest.
Her original yo-yo's are made of crisp pastel organdy.
Some are pieced four times to make a circle large enough for a yo-yo!
With a shortage of basic supplies like cotton during the Great Depression, Mom made do by stuffing her pillow with the downy fluff from dried thistle blossoms.
Read her inspiring story inside and make her traditional Gingersnap Cookies. 12.75" x 12.75"
